Not all items that are marked with the recycling symbol are recyclable by EcoMaine. If these items are added to your recycling bin they will constitute contamination and will increase the town’s recycling costs. Dry cell batteries can be brought to Staples and disposed of for free.
Lead (car, alarm system, etc.) batteries can be brought to Hazardous Waste Disposal Day (see town website for date and location) or NAPA.
Rechargeable batteries can be taken to Staples or Home Depot for free.
Can be taken to Home Depot for free.
Local hardware stores.
LED Lights – currently no recycling option.
Goodwill, Salvation Army and for consignment.
Can be recycled at Staples for free.
Hannaford or Shaw's.
Use local CLYNK drop-off location (Hannaford).
